Lost in the Depths of Time

by Rebecka Walter

I’m standing at a crossroad
And don’t know if I should go left or right
I’m feeling completely lost and mislead
But I’ll venture on through this dark and lonely night

Sometimes I feel like my words don’t match my thoughts
And sometimes I feel as if no one hears my true cries
But I keep trying to move forward
And fight through all this confusion that rest at my side

Maybe I’m not moving at all
Maybe I’m simply standing still
Maybe the ride I thought I was enjoying
Is just a fake and deceiving thrill

Maybe when I look above
I don’t see what I’m really supposed to see
Or maybe each yellow star in the sky
Is a sign of what I’m really supposed to be

Hopefully I can be rescued and restored
And find my way out of this chaotic mess of mine
Hopefully I can find some answers
That are lost in the depths of time

We’re a treasure in the arms of Christ

by Rebecka Walter

Even though we’re imperfect
And we don’t always listen to the Lord’s commands
He’s still here for us whenever we need him
Because the Lord God truly understands

When we wake up late at night
And tears are falling from our eyes
Pray to the Lord for comfort
Because he’ll help you wipe them dry

When we feel broken and alone
And we have no idea which way to go
Trust the Lord for guidance
Because he will always know

When everything keeps falling apart
And nothing seems to be going right
Remember that God will never judge you
Because we’re a treasure in the arms of Christ

And when the world keeps spinning
And you fall down on your knees
Don’t give up hope just yet
For God is all you need

Trust Test

Nothing is a problem unless we make it out to be. Instead think of it as a trust test from the Lord.

-Being the best you can be-

by Rebecka Walter

It’s not about your looks or the materialistic items you own.
It’s not about how you dress or how you play the game.
It’s about loving the skin you’re in, and making your heart genuine and kind.
It’s about having faith and potential.
It’s about trying to get through life without having regrets.
Instead learn from your mistakes.
It’s about staying positive no matter what the situation is.
It’s about lending a hand whenever you can.
It’s about LIVING, LAUGHING AND LOVING =]

As I walk along the shore

by Rebecka Walter

I listen to the waves
As I walk along the shore
I look to the heavens above
And watch the sunset which I adore

The breeze gently sways through my hair
And the coolness of the night
Makes the smile on my face
Glisten and shine so bright

I feel so peaceful on my walk
As I make my feet prints in the sand
I pretend to fly like a bird
As I outstretch my hands

I reflect on all my dreams
I breath deeply in and out
This is my favorite place to be
Without a single doubt

What should matter most

by Rebecka Walter

It seems no one knows what should matter most...at least in my eyes. The truth is, you don't realize what you have until it's on the brink of disappearing or until it's gone. People always seem to want more, more, and more, and once they get that, they're never satisfied. Most people don't even understand the true feeling of happiness. They experience what I refer to as a "fake happy". They get something they REALLY want, or they win over an estate, and think they're on top of the world and feel they could jump through the roof with joy. But this really isn't happiness at all. Why would you be SO happy over something that could disappear with a snap of your fingers. In the end, eventually it'll all go away.

As Allen Jackson says, "Faith, hope and love are the good things God gave us, and the greatest is love." God blessed us with things that aren't materialistic. And that's true happiness. When everything man-made gets scooped up and taken away, you'll realize that all you need are the people who really love you, for the people who really love you are priceless. They can never ever be recreated, EVER. It doesn't matter if scientist spend hours upon hours trying to create something that will bring loved ones back; it's simply impossible. The things that should matter most to you, money cannot buy, and the things you should value most, cannot be replaced.

People's priorities these days need to be shifted around. Everyone's on borrowed time. That's another precious gift from our Creator. Life here on earth is just a big test scoring us on how we'll live in eternity. When we get to see the REAL beginning, we're supposed to be reunited with the loved ones God put into our lives, not all the earthly greed we too easily get attached to. What should matter most, is not something you can go to a store and purchase or something you can go online to buy, but the things that can never be replaced here on earth. The faith God gave you and the love He surrounded you with, should be the most important in your life. But the sad things is, many people don't realize this until it's too late.

I'm thankful

by Rebecka Walter

When I see the sunshine passing through the trees
I’m thankful
When I see your smile shining back at me
I’m thankful

When I see the sparkle in your eyes
I’m thankful
When I have the privilege to call you mine
I’m thankful

When I count my blessings everyday
I’m thankful
When I bow my head to God and pray
I’m thankful

When I eat the food that’s on my plate
I’m thankful
When I have the ability to never hate
I’m thankful

When I can hold your hand and kiss your lips
I’m thankful
When I can listen to our favorite band and feel your arms around my hips
I’m thankful

When I can hug you so tightly that you don’t know what to do
I’m thankful
When I can whisper in your ear and say that I love you
I’m thankful

Confusion

by Rebecka Walter

Confusion’s like a bubble
That’s bursting at its seems
And when the bubble pops
It’ll feel like it’s redeemed

Confusion’s like a tangled web
With no way of getting out
We’re directly in the center
And all we can do is scream and shout

Confusion’s like a broken road
Filled with many cracks
We’re left wondering and worrying
And never feel as if we can relax

Confusion’s like a song
That doesn’t have a tune
Confusion’s like a flower
That grows but never blooms

Confusion can be unbearable
When we feel we’ll never see the light
Confusion’s like a mystery
Lost in the dark and lonely night

When our questions are left pondering
In a mind that can’t think straight
We have to keep reminding ourselves
That all we can do is sit and wait

Your Rose

by Rebecka Walter

When you look deep inside
There’s one thing you cannot deny
The flower you will see
Grown in your heart that is happily free
It'll be a rose tampered with thorns
All black and withered and torn
Or a deep red rose shining so bright
That it steals your breath away and surprises your sight
For it is only you who can decide the color of this beauty
With all you do in all your good duties
One can help you make the right choice
But only you can speak your voice
One can be with you through the toughest of times
But only you can make your light shine
One can help guide you where you’re supposed to lead
But only you can put yourself where you need to be
Therefore you can only choose the color of your rose
That’s formed in your heart where it seemingly grows
Do you want to leave this world with a rose the color of black
Or a perfect gleaming rose without a single crack
A rose that contaminates the world all around
Or a rose that will make a smile out of a frown
Only you can choose what you see when you look deep inside
So make it a sight that will be known world wide

Who have I become, Lord?

by Rebecka Walter

Who have I become, Lord?
My life has turned around
You’re calling back to me, Lord
But sadly I hear no sounds

I go to you for everything
Comfort, love and hope
I’m just not getting the message, Lord
And it’s really hard to cope

Before, you used to be my life
And I used to live for you in every way
But now things have changed, Lord
And I ache for it back every day

At night I pour out to you, Lord
And sometimes even cry
I don’t know why I’ve become who I am, Lord
I sadly ask the question, why?

I always beg for forgiveness, Lord
But turn around and do the same thing
I want to turn my life around, Lord
So some day I can hear the Angels sing

Who have I become, Lord?
Please reach out and hear my plea
I ask you one thing, Lord
And that is, please don’t leave me

Your Path

by Rebecka Walter

Everyone has wants in their life
But what was the path chosen for you
Everyone has desires as well
But what were you really meant to do

It might take a person most of their life
To figure out why they're on this earth
But everyone was chosen for something
Even way before their birth

God knows

by Rebecka Walter

God hears our thoughts
God hears when we pray
God hears our words
And God hears what we say

God sees our actions
God sees when we sin
God sees when we do wrong
For we can never run from Him

God knows when we falter
God knows when we hide
But don’t fear God
For He’s always by our side

When we ask for forgiveness
He’ll be there to pure our soul
If we mean what we seek
He’ll make our life feel whole

Love God with our hearts
Love God with our minds
Love God with our souls
For He will make your light shine

Quotes About God

God exist whether or not men may choose to believe in Him. The reason why many people do not believe in God is not so much that it is intellectually impossible to believe in God, but because belief in God forces that thoughtful person to face the fact that he is accountable to such a God.
Robert A. Laidlaw

If God were small enough to be understood, He would not be big enough to be worshiped.
Evelyn Underhill

Nobody talks so constantly about God as those who insist that there is no God.
Heywood Broun

What comes into our minds when we think about God, is the most important thing about us.
A.W. Tozer

The Past

by Rebecka Walter

We can never let go of the past.

No matter how hard we try.

Sometimes it seems best if we were given that ability, but if that thought is left pondering in our minds, we realize it has shaped us to who we are today.

It gave us our life.

It made us who we are.

It taught us our morals and values.

It let us see what was important and worthwhile.

It lead us to the people we interact with.

It helped shape our personality.

It has allowed us to learn from our mistakes.

And it gives us hope for the future.

Sometimes our past can be unbearable and very painful to talk about.

Sometimes it can cause tears to roll down our cheeks, or even anger to strike through our veins.

But we have to remember the people who are always going to be by our side, and the people who will always be there to help us when we fall.

Let our past be a lesson learned.

If we were innocent victims, let us make sure we don’t let it happen to another.

Let the right people fall at our hands.

Take the right steps that will lead you in the right direction.

Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

Help every soul that you can.

Don’t take anything for granted.

Stay true to what you believe in.

Teach others your wisdom of which you’ve obtained.

Help another when they stumble.

Always remember that actions speak louder than words, and realize you are what people perceive you to be.

We’ll soon leave this earth and go where we truly belong; what we were truly made for.

How do you want to be remembered?

What legacy do you want to leave behind?

If your past was a horrible experience, only you have the will and power to turn that around.

Learn from it.

The Question

by Rebecka Walter

There's a question out there that's very hard to answer

A question that no one fully understands

There's a question out there with many possible meanings

And a question that goes beyond this land

There's a question out there that doesn't have an end

And a question that can always be answered right

There's a question out there that makes a person think

And that question is the meaning of life

Is it to be kind to everyone around you

By doing all that you can

Is it to make a difference in this world

By reaching out a helping hand

Is it to teach others your wisdom

That's you've obtained throughout the years

Or is it to be with the people who need support

And help them wipe away their tears

Is it about bragging and boasting about yourself

So all the world can hear

Or is it about realizing who loves you

And who you should always keep near

Is it about hatefulness and revenge

To get back at the people who made you mad

Or is it about forgiveness and understanding

And being thankful for what you have

Is it about inventing or creating

Or being all that you can be

Is it about the outer appearance at all

Or is it about what's deep inside of you and me

This question could be answered in many possible ways

But I'd be careful with what you choose

I personally believe you should live life to the fullest

Otherwise you'd be surprised in what you might lose
